Our spiritual Path Begins

EASY TO READ "MINI-BOOKS"

TEACHING AND ENTERTAINING BOOKS

In addition to our novels, we offer a series of non-fiction books, seven of which are very concise examinations of the everyday questions we have about our faith.

WHAT IS FAITH?

image22

People often ask how one can increase their faith and commiserate over their inability to fully trust what scripture tells them.  This book helps with a variety of ways one can increase their faith and learn to test God as He tells us in scripture and learn that He really IS is with us.  This book and all the "mini-books" have presented in a soft cover, 51/2  x 9 inches in size and average 126 pages long.

SATAN'S GIFT OF FEAR

image23

Fear can be debilitating.  Fear is a learned emotion which can overpower common sense, separate us from God and lock us into inaction.  Fear is a wide spread affliction and growing every day.  This book is an excellent rendition of what fear really is and from whence it comes and why.  The contents explains how Satan uses the fear he creates in us to his advantage and how we can overcome it.

WHAT DO ANGELS DO?

image24

Spiritual warfare are words we rarely hear yet something which gains in power every day.  Angels are real and each has a specific role to fill.  The Seraphim, Cherubim and Thrones are counselors.  The Dominions, Virtues and Powers are Governors, and the Principalities,, Archangels and angels are messengers.  God's faithful angels help mankind whereas Satan's group of fallen angels seek to harm mankind.

DO OUR LITTLE SINS REALLY COUNT?

image25

Most of us believe that any "little" sin,  any little "white" lie is okay and that they do not count as important to God.  But scripture tells us otherwise.  Scripture explains that God adheres to a strict code of righteousness and uses the  analogy of the white robe which each of us will don before we leave this earth with Christ.  These robes must have absolutely NO blemish whatsoever and thus require that we have our sins forgiven.  However, one of the pre-requisites of having our sins forgiven is to acknowledge them.  Therefore if we discount them, or ignore them as inconsequential we can endanger our soul salvation.

WHY TRUST SCRIPTURE?

image26

The Bible is fascinating to read.  It tells us that when God created the Sun and the Moon at the end of the fourth day of the creation, THAT'S when time as we know it began.  Thus all those "days" prior to the end of the fourth day was when evolution took place.  The Bible also tells us to circumcise a child when he is eight days old and now medical science has shown us that the immune system and the antibodies of mother and child are in perfect harmony at that time!  These are many more fascinating bits of information in this book which demonstrates the amazing facts found in the Bible!

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT LIFE AFTER DEATH

image27

Scripture gives us an incredible account of what occurs after death in Luke 16:19-31.  In the story of the Rich man and the Beggar who  die at the same time we read about a conversation held after their death, about feelings of remorse, about the pleas of the rich man, about the comfort of the beggar and the torment of the rich man.  It showcases the great chasm between Heaven and Hell and how these cannot be bridged for the Rich man or the family he now wants to warn.

WHY GOD WHY?

image28

There are times in life and circumstances to bear where it is easy to ask "Why God, why?"  Sometimes our burden is so great or our pain so potent that we blame God and wish that He would remove that particular cross from our shoulders.   The story of Job is an example of how to bear the pain and unfairness which life often brings.   Job never blames God and simply waits patiently for what God will do with him.  He acknowledges that God is all powerful and recognises that His love for God will endure all things.

TO WHAT PURPOSE

image29

Many of us ask God to help us find the right direction for our lives.  We ask God to help us be productive and make a contribution in someway for the gift of our very existence.  We are not always happy with where we have been planted in God's garden and seek ways to break out and "DO" something special and perhaps "BE" someone special.  But God assures us that He has placed us where we belong and where we can make a difference if we can but accept His judgement and ask for guidance.

WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ADDICTION

image30

The disciples of Christ returned from bringing their testimony to others with the concern that they could not cast out the demons from certain people.  Christ told them that prayer and fasting was the key.  However, fasting in this sense meant to "starve" the spirits or demons of what they wanted from the person they'd invaded.  Sometimes it was drugs, other times it was the pursuit of another sin but those spirits required that sin to exist if they were to remain where they were.

HOW TO BE HAPPY

image31

There are many people who suffer from anxiety and depression and find themselves on very powerful medications.  Further, science teaches us what occurs in the body to bring on a sense of despair and also tells us that once we accept that fear it's difficult to overcome it.  The Bible tells us that this spirit of depression and anxiety can engulf us and make the fear almost impossible to deal with.  This causes suicides and withdrawal.  But the Bible tells us that God wants us to be happy and also that He hears our prayers and answers them.  God tells us that both He and Christ offer us their peace if we but ask for it.

GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION

image32

This is a thinner but larger book (8 1/2 x 11) and designed specifically to place on a table for others to see or given as a gift.  The content is similar to the novel titled "A LIttle Book of Poetry:  God's Plan of Salvation".  It does not however contain the poetry of that book, only the story of how angels view mankind in their struggle to find God. It's a lovely story to read to children or to someone who is bedridden or just to curl up on a chair and read yourself.  It explains in a whimsical manner  and from an angels point of view what God is trying to teach us sowe can be found worthy to go with Christ when He returns.  The cover is very pretty and delicate in design.  The prologue and epilogue explain how the original manuscript was found by "Grandma's" granddaughter Sarah.
